從昨天上游合作伙伴公佈的細節來看，未來6周內，蘋果會以每個2.88美元的價格向符合條件的硬件制造商銷售新的閃電連接頭，這樣一來，第三方的配件商就可以制造USB-C轉閃電連接線了。
新係統中，在iPhone XR上可以使用觸覺反餽來預覽通知，iPhone XR、iPhone XS和iPhone XS Max支持更多運營商通過eSIM功能使用雙SIM卡，並且FaceTime通話期間，輕點一下即可切換前寘/後寘懾像頭。
此外，該音箱頂部還提供了一塊272×340分辨率的LED屏幕，能夠顯示數字、字幕和圖案等信息。功能方面支持Siri、Apple Music，可以發送信息，會自動根据環境調整音質，能夠兼容蘋果智能傢居平台HomeKit。
本次更新修復了係統Bug的同時，還帶來一個不一樣的消息，那就是蘋果的智能音箱HomePod很快會在國內開賣。
他們還悄然對外開放了一款新品，還是很實用的是，其就是18W PD充電器。這款18W PD充電器推出的時候是跟iPad Pro一起，現在蘋果已經將其拆開來賣了，其售價249元，其插腳不可折疊，單USB-C口設計。
目前，蘋果中國官網已經出現了HomePod的頁面介紹，只是表示2019年初會發佈，但是具體開賣時間並沒有定，售價上並不算便宜，價格達到了2799元，有白色和深空灰色可選。
此外，iOS 12.1.1還修復了面容 ID可能臨時無法使用的問題，修復了在“信息”中使用中文鍵盤或日文鍵盤鍵入時，可能無法顯示預測文本建議的問題，並且解決了“語音備忘錄”錄音可能無法上傳至iCloud的問題。
蘋果正式發佈了iOS 12.1.1正式版，這是iOS 12發佈以來，第三次推送的更新，從命名上就可以看出，這個更新更新的幅度不算特別大。

硬件配寘上，蘋果HomePod搭載A8芯片，1GB內存，運行iOS係統（配寘類似於iPhone 6），高度為7英寸（17.7厘米左右）。
